GOLDINGalexander.
Alexander Technique, breathe Tasmanian.
Alexander Technique in the heart of Hobart.
And anywhere in the world, too.
In June 2026, I will proudly graduate as an Accredited Alexander Technique Practitioner, ready to bring a fresh perspective on this transformative practice, under GOLDINGalexander. Having trained under the exceptional Penny McDonald, whose own roots in Tasmania mirror those of F.M. Alexander himself, I have developed a deep appreciation for the subtle yet powerful effects of the Alexander Technique. Penny’s extensive career in the performing arts and her remarkable experience on world tours, including working with Hugh Jackman, have profoundly shaped my understanding of movement, breath, and presence.
The Alexander Technique is more than a method—it’s a way of rediscovering balance, ease, and connection with oneself. It offers profound benefits not just for performers but for anyone seeking to improve their posture, breathing, and overall well-being. Through my training, I’ve learned how subtle changes in awareness can lead to significant shifts in how we carry ourselves and interact with the world.
Blending the principles of Alexander with my creative background, bringing a unique, grounded approach to teaching that’s inherently Tasmanian. This is not just about correcting posture or reducing tension; it’s about embracing the natural rhythm of our breath, reconnecting with the body and mind, and finding lightness and freedom in everyday movements. I’ll be guiding individuals through this journey, helping them uncover a more effortless and embodied way of being, whether on stage, in daily life, or wherever their personal paths may take them.
Just as Penny, and F.M's teachings have for me.
