Through GOLDINGcreative, Jacob leads a collective that spans theatre production, photography, videography, social media strategy, and beyond, delivering high-quality work with an authentic touch.
As a Tasmanian native, Jacob is deeply connected to the local community, with a commitment to fostering accessibility and inclusivity in every project. Whether it’s directing plays, collaborating on productions, or developing innovative business models, Jacob’s approach is always rooted in creativity, empathy, and a desire to make an impact. His extensive work in the disability sector and support services further demonstrates his commitment to empowering others through creative opportunities.
Jacob’s journey as a performer began in 2010 with screen training under Sara Cooper at Cooper Screen Academy, laying the foundation for a rich and diverse career in the creative arts. Since 2012, he has been producing his own content and short films, with a passion for telling stories that resonate deeply with his audience. Whether he’s taking centre stage in his own productions or collaborating on external projects, Jacob’s dedication to performance shines through. He continuously explores new ways to engage with his craft, playing multiple roles both on and off-screen to bring his visions to life. In addition to his theatre and screen work, Jacob is known for his personal mascot performances, a unique blend of creativity and character work that showcases his versatility and ability to entertain in unconventional ways.
Through his collaboration with Penny McDonald and his training in the Alexander Technique, Jacob has found a new light both in his life and his work. As he progresses towards becoming an Alexander Technique teacher, this holistic practice continues to influence his approach to performance, grounding him in a deeper connection to his craft and opening new avenues for creative expression.

Hobart is home. I love working from home, in and around the city. I have a flexible studio space available for projects that require it.
I also love location work and exploring Tasmania, and beyond. I am available to travel both interstate and internationally for the right projects.
